Kink isn't the Only Place in the Mission Using a Safe Word
Kink.com's nearby neighbor, Art Gallery
Ratio 3, is currently showing a group exhibition called "Safe Word" that was inspired almost entirely by Kink.com's websites and the SF Armory. Both Ratio 3 and Kink.com moved into their current locations within months of each other and Chris Perez, the gallery director has felt a connection with the 200,000 sq. ft. building ever since. Ratio 3 invited five artists to "create new work that uses Kink.com as both an image source and a site for personal investigation."
"Safe Word" runs through August 8. Hours are Wednesday through Saturday 11am - 6pm, and by appointment.
